Wisconsin Death Trip. After being introduced by Smashing Pumpkins lead singer Billy Corgan, the two decided to head out west to California to enlist a lead guitarist and bassist. Once in California, Koichi Fukuda became guitarist, and not long after, they discovered Californian Tony Campos to complete the lineup as their bassist. Warner Bros. Records discovered the band in California and signed them in February Marilyn Manson Albums.
Heaven Upside Down. The record had the working title Say10 and was initially due to be issued on Valentine's Day. However, the release was delayed due to the eponymous vocalist being unhappy with the quality of the record by that date, as well as the band's touring commitments and producer Tyler Bates's schedule scoring films. It was also delayed by the death of Manson's father Hugh Warner, who died during production and to whom the album was later dedicated.
Longtime bassist Twiggy did not take part in recording sessions, despite Manson initially suggesting otherwise. It is primarily a heavy metal record, and, at the time of its release, contained some of the heaviest material the band had ever recorded.
The album received mixed reviews from music critics, with several publications considering it to be a comeback for the band, while others were critical of its heaviness and violent lyrical content. The album was issued in standard and deluxe editions on CD and double LP vinyl, and as a limited edition box set. The standard version of the album contains ten tracks; the deluxe edition includes three acoustic versions as bonus tracks. Produced by Manson and newcomer Tyler Bates, who Manson met through their mutual involvement in the TV series Californication, The Pale Ranglin Presents The Zodiacs Ranglin Presents The Zodiacs eschews the band's usual industrial rock style in favor of a sparser, blues rock-influenced sound.
It was the first album since his Various One Kiss Can Lead To Another Girl Group Sounds Lost And Found to the band in Ricardo Villalobos Frank Mueller Melodram not include songwriting or performance contributions from bassist Twiggy, who was busy with his own projects.

In a January interview with Kerrang! Manson called himself "a man of few words" [on the record], opting to allow melody to be its primary focus, instead of using characters or extended metaphors to compose lyrics.

He told The Philadelphia Inquirer that he "sold [his] soul to become a rock star, and this payment in full—with interest, considering the last few bills I didn't pay," explaining that he considered The High End of Low and Born Villain lacking in focus. Throughout the album, Manson sings in a different key than on any of the band's previous releases. The band announced the album's title and release date on its official website on November 9, Formats included standard and deluxe edition CDs ; a heavyweight gram double LP vinyl album, available in black, white and a grey marble -effect limited edition,  the Erlon Chaves Banda Veneno Vol 1 of which was exclusive to Hot Topic ;  and as a digital downloadincluding bit AIFF and WAV format files, which were released exclusively on Qobuz.
The standard version of the album contains ten tracks and the deluxe edition adds three acoustic versions as bonus tracks. Music from the album was previewed almost nine months before its official release, when "Cupid Carries a Gun" appeared as the opening theme to the television series Salem from April 27, onward.
Immediately after the broadcast, the song was released for free download on the band's official website,  and then released as a one-track single via music download services on November Manson and his father, Hugh Warner, appeared together in the February issue of Paper magazine.
Bates said he had prepared the band to function without him, anticipating a departure once obligations in the film and TV industry made his schedule too difficult for touring. Numerous publications referred to it as being the band's best album in over 15 years. Corey Deiterman of the Houston Press called The Pale Emperor a "triumphant return to Marilyn Manson The Pale Emperor songwriting principles that made him famous in the first place.
MusicAllan Raible highlighted the album's focus on songcraft instead of shock value. The album received some mixed reviews, however. Louis Pattison, reviewing for NMEsaid that the album would not be considered a Marilyn Manson The Pale Emperor, but complimented the material for a reduced emphasis on shock value.
Like an aging boxer, Manson lands jabs and the occasional uppercut, but he never topples his opponent. Industry forecasters predicted that The Pale Emperor was on course for a top ten debut on the Billboardwith estimated first-week sales of around 42, units.
In Eurasiathe album debuted on the Russian Albums Michael Wycoff Looking Up To You Love Is So Easy at number ten on the chart dated January 18,based on three days of sale on the Russian iTunes store.
