The fact that Stella was able to overcome her guilt on leaving Cara to join the tour, and that she began looking to what she wanted for the future, was especially noteworthy, as I don't believe she could have done any of this at the beginning of the novel.

The romance was wonderful between Stella and Oliver. As I've already said, there were some angsty moments in the book, mainly to do with this romance, but all came out Joseph Hill Culture Police Man in the end. By the end of the book, Stella was like a fully fledged member of The Heartbreakers, and each band member cared for her just as much as she did for them - they were a proper family.

Cara, Stella, and Drew were just what I'd imagine triplets would be like - all their own person, but would do just about anything for their sibling, as shown often in the book. I've previously read Novak's other book, My Life with the Walter Boys, and this one was definitely my favourite of the two. I much preferred the setting and plot in The Heartbreakers, and I feel as if you can tell that this is a later book, as the writing has definitely become more developed and stronger.

Overall I enjoyed the plot of the story, though it was quite obvious what was going to happen next at times, and loved the characters. I'm quite looking forward to further books in this series. If you are looking for an interesting, yet extremely quirky book to make you laugh this summer, The Heartbreakers is for you.

The plot is a little far fetched but, I was able to see past this and enjoy the fun that this book has to offer. The Heartbreakers has everything: a boy band, Starbucks, a cancer story and a brave main character who is full of sass. The Heartbreakers is a slightly unrealistic book, which is probably why I enjoyed it! The plot is so unbelievable that I just The Heartbreakers Ive Got To Face It to laugh. Honestly, what are the chances that a famous musician happens to be in a Starbucks when you walk in and also appears with his band in the elevator you are in?

Once the story gets going though, the book becomes a little more believable. I found the plot to be endearing, but I definitely see others having a hard time The Heartbreakers Ive Got To Face It the start of this story. When I first picked up the book, I expected it to focus on the cancer, making the book depressing to read.

Cara, however, is such an optimistic character that is so refreshing to read about. There are only a few chapters that mention it, but Cara is very relevant to the plot and causes some major plot twists. Stella is such an enjoyable narrator for The Heartbreakers. She is clever, sassy, and very supportive of others, such as her sister. When she is hired to be a The Heartbreakers Ive Got To Face It for The Heartbreakers, she does her job efficiently and well.

Stella does doubt herself a lot, though. As the story progresses, Stella slowly gains confidence and her personality really shines through. This is a fun, quick read that is perfect for a lazy summer day. There is a time when I want to read something like this to remind me of the time Caldera Dreamer I loved reading various fanfictions.

This book is good. But I will always consider it a fanfiction. It is just so similar and yet I really liked it. Really, really adorable. I was not expecting this to be as emotional as it was. Definitely a cute contemporary worth picking up. Full review to come. This is one of the most unrealistic books I have ever in my life read. It is so improbable. There were some cute moments, but they were drowned out by the fact that these cute moments have about a 0.

First off, how Stella meets Oliver Perry twice within such a short span of time without actually trying is beyond me. I couldn't even find a celebrity if I tried. Let alone twice I'm bending the definition of normal when it comes to their second conversation. On that note, let's get on to the second point. And snobs. Notice that I haven't listed 'girlfriend material' on this list. Don't date them. I swear, where is their sensibility?

Actually, forget sensibility, where is their security? If the girl who had just gotten done yelling at you in an elevator came up to your hotel room and wanted to talk to you Especially when you're famous and there is a possibility they are psycho?

And then they have a nice fun session in the pool and such. At this point I was beyond skeptical. It was at this time that I realized that the Heartbreakers are, in this literary world, the most laid back and stupid boy band to ever grace the music industry.

She's plain. She's boring, as a character, but there's like one redeeming feature about her that's supposed to make her 'different' from those other girls. In this case, she likes photography. She doesn't sound all that great at it, so how she impresses everyone is beyond me. Everyone always has to tell her how great she is because she, herself, has absolutely no clue.

Stella was pretty Bert Jansch A Rare Conundrum to read about. I actually liked Oliver in a way, though I still think he is a piss-poor example of what any normal pop star would do when presented with the series of events that happen in this book. He's nice, and troubled, but not in a creepy way, but in a 'I want to help you poor baby' way, and welllll The Heartbreakers should have ended with Stella being carried out by security.

It should not have been a romance. I rest my case. What is it about rock stars that appeal to almost everyone? Whether in young adult reads, new adult, or just plain The Heartbreakers Ive Got To Face It adult, they just are appealing to so many of us. This story was about a rock star, a band, and of course, a girl. But more than that this story went deeper. It was about families, and love, taking chances, and living life to the fullest, and loving those around us and Lacksley Castell P Tullo Government Man Straight To The Government strong for those that need us to be without losing ourselves in the process.

It was about chasing our What is it about rock stars that appeal to almost everyone? It was about chasing our dreams and making them happen and for that, I can say I loved this story. I honest wasn't expecting any deep meaningful thoughts or opinions when I started this.

Instead I thought it would be a light hearted, fun, quick read and it was that too, It had a lot of light funny moments and even sweet moments that broke up the sadness and really was a perfect balance of seriousness and fun all in one. Yes there were some familiar tropes and cliches, but overall, I really had fun with this read and even got teary eyed a time or two.

Overall, this was a fun, quick read with meaning and I would definitely read the next book. Listened to the audiobook of this while re-organizing my bookshelves and it was a perfect fit. I have to admit, I'm surprised by how not-terrible this was. I thought it was going to be super cheesy and stupid, but for what it was, it was pretty damn cute. Would I recommend it?

Probably The Heartbreakers Ive Got To Face It. But I'm definitely not mad about it. The Heartbreakers is a light contemporary romance read that could have a great potential. It was a great start but in the end the story was okay and it didn't give me the vibe whenever I'm reading a contemporary book.

It may be a fast paced read but I feel like there is something missing. The story is about Stellaa girl who has passion for photography. Her sister, Cara is a big fan of this boy band called The Heartbreakers but she couldn't attend any events because of her illness.

Stella and her brother Drew planned to give birthday present for their sister by going on a road trip to see The Heartbreakers and get her CD autographed by them. Stella isn't really a fan of this boy band but she'll do everything for her sister.

While on the trip, she met this attractive guy on Starbucks but she haven't got his name. When she is on the line for the signingshe recognized she met at Starbucks and who happens to be the lead vocalist of the band, Oliver Perry. Girls screamed for him, but Stella didn't like his music. Oliver is intrigued by her personality and actually likes her because she's different.

Things get good between them, but Stella can't help thinking about her sick sister. It's like her mind is divided with these things and all. Stella and Oliver lacked the chemistry, they just didn't clicked out for me. Maybe because it kept jumping from one scene to another when their romance starts to build up. Plus, it's kind of an Insta-love.

It didn't live up to my The Heartbreakers Ive Got To Face It and the plot isn't that strong to give me the feels. I think most parts of this book focuses on Stella's relationship with her sister than Oliver's which is kind of disappointing. The members of the band are childish, except for Alec. I kinda like him. The ending was dull and rushed. Also, I can't help noticing this part. Two words: Muscles! He played a totally sexy werewolf on True Blood.

That's one word. Two syllables. Oh well. The Heartbreakers Ive Got To Face It free to correct me. View all 6 comments. The writing wasn't bad at all but if I have to be honest this just isn't my type of story. There were a lot of times I found it cheesy and stupid.

The characters, specifically Oliver and Stella, who were supposed to be most developed and shit like that kinda weren't and that's why it gets 3.

It was sweet and lovely. But definitely not what I expected. Cute read. Yes, it is actually silly teenage insta love thing which I usually hate but I still somehow enjoyed. I needed something sweet Ennio Morricone MondoMorricone Revisited Irressistable Cult Movie Themes By Ennio Morricone Volume 1 The Heartbreakers is exactly that kind of guilty pleasure stories.

Honestly, I will probably rate this book with 2,5 stars but it lighten my stressful day and made me smile. This was just so sweet and cute. I'm actually a bit lost for words to be honest. I really adored this book, but still it didn't quite feel like a five star book and it's really bugging me because I have no idea why. The Heartbreakers is about Stella.

When she goes on a road trip with her brother Drew The Heartbreakers Ive Got To Face It get an autographed CD from the popular band The Heartbreakers for their sick twin sister Cara, Stella never imagined how much her life would change. She meets a cute boy at Starbucks, only to find out that he's Oliver Perry, lead singer for The Heartbreakers. And while Cara's a huge fan, Stella isn't.

At all. And how can she even think about dating when her sister is so very sick? This was a really, really sweet, adorable and touching book.

It didn't blow my mind and it wasn't the best I've read in this genre so far this year, though. Which is why I can't give it 5 stars, I guess. But I still adored it!

It was really good! I loved the writing and the story. It reminded me of one of those Disney Channel Original Movies. Those are good sometimes. It also balanced out the emotional side of Stella's home life with her sick sister and the fun and sweet stuff with the romance and everything else. Also the romance was done well. I wouldn't call it the perfect romance, but I did like it a lot. The characters were the best Ink Spots I Dont Want To Set The World On Fire Hey Doc. Their interactions were hilarious most of the time.

Yeah, there's a lot of humor in this book, I laughed out loud a lot of times. I looooved the other band members, Alec, Xander and JJ. I loved Drew and Cara, Stella's twin brother and sister. Yeah, they're triplets. I loved their bond and how much they loved each other!

Stella was a fantastic main character and I really liked her a lot. She grows a lot in this book and so did Oliver. Oh gosh, I loved Oliver. He can quote Disney guys. Oliver shook his head. It's cute, sweet, touching and adorable.

One of my favorite tropes is when a famous guy falls for a non-famous girl, so this was a treat. I loved Paolo Nutini Caustic Love snarky Stella was to the band from the get-go. Each band member had such a distinct personality, it was fun watching reading? Just a thought, with Ron Henderson 2 And Choice Of Colour Soul Junction such as this, do people start hearing the record all over the place as everyone jumps on the bandwagon to play it?

  1. Jan 15,  · Light and sweet, "The Heartbreakers" is a fun read, and a nice little break from some of the heavier books I've been reading lately. If you enjoy a cute romance novel -- one that doesn't involve vampires, a ton of angst, and/or countless sex scenes -- you'll probably enjoy this novel/5.

I adored every moment of reading and want more from Novak because she brought out nearly all the feels. Plus if I didn’t have final projects or work at the time, I’m pretty sure I would have finished this in one sitting and be a sad 4/5.
