The Pink Floyd Original Motion Picture Soundtrack From The Film More
IMO these new vinyls are very nice. I do agree that the authenticity of the folded over back covers could have been done PS: wish they would have done a box set on this Its a soundtrack and an early album by Pink Floyd that I believe most people overlook. It The Pink Floyd Original Motion Picture Soundtrack From The Film More also one of my favorite Pink Floyd CDs. The remixed version sounds fantastic and is worth repurchasing if you are serious about sound quality. This is a late night album to dream to and one of my favorites so don't let people discourage you by saying this album is a patchwork of songs from a movie soundtrack, which it is but a beautiful patchwork nonetheless.
The vendor was timely in delivery and the CD arrived unscathed. Most people have not heard this. Even pink floyd fans. It is really excellent maybe better than ummagumma and animals. Almost 5 stars. Really give this one a listen. Criminally underappreciated due to the greatness of meddle, dsotm, wall, wish you were here. One person found this helpful. Very good early Floyd material. I really enjoy this period of their career.
If this is your first Floyd album I would make another choice as the first album Then work your way into the back catalog. As a fan whose first Floyd album dates back to Saucerful of Secrets, this was a welcome addition to my collection when it came out. The early work of Pink Floyd was important for the degree of experimentation that they were involved in. They were doing things no one else was doing and perhaps that is why I enjoy the early stuff so much Any fan who wants to appreciate the growth and development of the band will enjoy this album for its own merits.
It's almost midnight and my girl is Eko Nalandi. I just found an original, mint U. I can honestly say this is an excellent nighttime album This is an excellent album, despite the fact that I hated it when I first heard it. Then again, when The Pink Floyd Original Motion Picture Soundtrack From The Film More first attempted to listen to this years ago, I put it on right after playing the first live disc of Ummagumma.
Backintyme Backintyme of these songs really capture the same level of energy of those live versions of "Astronomy Domine" or "Careful with That Axe The only real weakness if that there is no cohesion between all the great moments on the record But the individual moments are great This is not Pink Floyd's best album but it certainly isn't their worst.
It's a picture of a band experimenting and attempting to find their sound following Syd Barrett's departure and it is great. If you like their early sound and are in the mood for some moody British pop with some very dark Sun Ra jazz lurking Reg Guest Syndicate Underworld every corner then don't hesitate to buy this album!!
I lost this CD in a house fire 9 years ago and now have it again in my collection better than ever, the remastered version is an improvement.
This is not an album for most fans of Pink Floyd. It is not the cohesive concept album that would define the later Floyd. Pink Floyd recorded several pieces of film music before this album.
In Decemberthey featured on the BBC's Tomorrow's Worldplaying along to a light show, and the following year recorded some instrumental music for the film The Committee. The group also speculated they The Pink Floyd Original Motion Picture Soundtrack From The Film More branch out into a career as film composers if their recording and touring career did not work out.
Pink Floyd worked out most of the music in two weeks, with material put together quickly and semi-improvised. Schroeder was impressed by how quickly the group created and recorded the material. More features a mixture of styles. Songs such as "Green is the Colour" were acoustic folk ballads, a genre not often explored by the group.
It was a regular feature in the set for two years afterwards. Two songs can be heard in the film which were not included on the album: and "Hollywood" and "Seabirds".
