Loaded Records offers up a snapshot of what their label's all about, circaneatly split into one disc of midtempo and disco tunes, and stripped down club cuts both unmixed. The former steals the show, able to work outside a sweaty dance floor; Ashley Beedle churns out another eight minute remix classic stuffed with violin swoops, flute, and even marimba on "Kinda Blue," shades of his Bent "Always" take, while Annie comes through not only with discotastic "Greatest Hit," extra bottom end and cowbell courtesy Soul Mekanik, but the trippy "I Will Get On," a love story to leave your ears spinning.
Call it warm, sophisticated house done right, delivered consistently throughout the hour.
